Welcome back to a recap of our trip across United States and day 13 of our journey. It was amazing to us how fast the past 13 days had flown by. We woke this morning at Pengilly, MN to cloudy skies and cold and damp temperatures. We packed up and were on the road a little after 10. We traveled 233 miles going through Bena, Marble, Grand Rapids, Cass Lake to our evening resting point 5 hours later at Lake Bronson, MN. Now this was a great campground. The sites were well maintained and we felt so safe. Before long our tent was set and we kicked back for some great rest and a nice stroll through the campgrounds. We didn’t sleep real good because it was freezing. In fact it was so cold when I got up to make coffee in the morning Emma refused to accompany me outside. She looked at me as if to say you’re on your own pal, lol.
