Welcome back to a recap of our trip across United States and day 23 of our journey. We woke today and were back on the road at 11. As we cruised Charles City the devastation from the flood was enormous. It was amazing though to see the inner strength of the people as they faced the carnage. Our journey today took us through Waterloo, IA, Winthrop, IA, Dubuque, IA, Utica, IL coming to rest in Peru, IL. We traveled 324 miles over almost 8 and a half hours.
