Welcome back to a recap of our trip across United States and day 1 of our journey.  Well, as I mentioned… D-day came and our first stop was Crystal Rock Campground in Sandusky, Ohio.  Our plan was to hit the road hard the first day and break out of NYS so we felt like we had accomplished something.  We journeyed 9 hours covering 327 miles and didn’t arrive to our campground until 7:30 p.m.  There was so much to see and every time we stopped the people were so friendly and talkative.  We probably shouldn’t have planned such a long drive the 1^st day but it is what it is.  To see more on our first day, click on, The Adventure Begins, First Day Photo’s  , and Kite Surfing on Lake Erie.
