Welcome back to a recap of our trip across United States and day 20 of our journey. Today we got on the road from Buffalo, WY at 8 and headed east. Our first major stop was in Custer SD to spend time at the Crazy Horse Memorial. Incredible, just incredible. The story behind this place is amazing. From here it was on to Mt. Rushmore in Keystone SD. Such an impressive monument but unfortunately we didn’t go in due to the fact they did not permit pets (Emma’s not a pet she’s family). If we had gone in to view the monument we would have had to leave Emma in the car for far too long. The drive was beautiful winding through the mountains passing through Rapid City and into Interior, SD where we settled in and spent the evening enjoying the beauty of Badlands National Park . Love the photos! I have always wanted to go here but while I was living in Wyoming I didn’t have a car to get there. Now I need to go back and take that drive to SD!
