Welcome back to a recap of our trip across United States and day 17 of our journey.  Thanks for checking in.  We woke around 7 a.m. at Reed Point, MT to the sun just coming up on what I would have to say was one of the most beautiful scenes I had ever laid eyes on.  There in front of us were the Rocky Mountains.  They seemed so close yet were many miles in front of us but none the less breathtaking.  The scenery just kept getting more and more spectacular as we drove.  Our idea was to reach Yellowstone National Park which was only a couple hours away, check out the area and grab a place to stay to get some rest.  Yeah right!  When we got to Yellowstone we couldn’t hold off.  Incredible is all I could keep saying.  I have seen some beautiful sites before but the ones before us were glorious.  Yellowstone National Park is a place everyone should have on their bucket list.  We soaked in the beauty of the region until we couldn’t move anymore and checked in to the Super 8 in Cody, WY.  What a day… we traveled 271 miles on the road and 12 hours of site seeing.  Ahhh the comfort a warm bed.  It was a bit chilly for our tent and you could see the snow gracing the mountain tops.  To see more of our day please click 50 States Before 50 and I Did It! and Memories of Yellowstone National Park .
