The beautiful Strickland family caught my eye while enjoying the overlook in the Theodore Roosevelt National Park and kindly shared a bit of their story with us. Herman Strickland, the father, said, “We’ve been together 10 years, and I can’t live without my family. It’s part of history, you know?” They recently came up to Williston, ND, from Florida when the woman they purchased their car from said, “how would you like to be able to afford your car and triple your salary?” They could hardly believe it, but came up here, knowing, as Herman put it, “That’s how we try to do, where God puts us; keep our faith. And He hasn’t let us down.” This family is an inspiration to us all in trust and faith.
