Hello and welcome to part 20 of our road trip through North Carolina.
Our travels today focused on the Cooleemee, NC area where we learned about a great hiking area and set of rapids called the Bull Hole River Park. Because of the rains in the area the Yadkin river was flowing heavily yielding how powerful a river can become in nature.
Well this is it for today. We hope you come back and see how the trip unfolds as we share more of the USA Through Our Eyes. Until then be safe.

Your blog definitely does this! I have only ever been to North Carolina once, and that was a very brief excursion when I was a baby. I have no memories of it! So I’m curious about your travels. Thank you for so faithfully chronicling all of your journeys!

Thank you so much for making time to share with us. We talk here at home how the people we meet through our travels bless us so much with stories of facing adversity and overcoming it with stronger character. Your note “several of us are living vicariously through you” was truly thought provoking for us. Maybe our post will encourage others to step out in faith like we did and watch Him work.

Is it just me, or is the sound of the rushing water both invigorating and soothing at the same time?

Wish I had a 50 foot monitor. Would hang it on the wall and watch that waterfall for hours…

There’s something about the power of a fast flowing river, especially with falls and rapids, that is so invigorating. I get the same feeling watching waves roll in from the ocean. Thank you for sharing that gorgeous spot!
