Journey Through North Carolina – Part 13

Hello and welcome to part 13 of our journey through North Carolina.

While walking around the Down by the River campground in a light rain, we started talking with a guy that was washing his camper as it rained.  He said it was perfect weather for washing the bugs off and letting nature rinse it for free.  This guy had a point so when we got back to our site we figured why not and did same thing to our van.

Well this is it for today.  We hope you come back and see how the trip unfolds as we share more of USA Through Our Eyes.  Until then be safe.

  1. Sounds great Liz. It was so funny because when we first started blogging we didn’t have a clue what we were doing. We knew we wanted to introduce who we were so we did it from Emma our chocolate labs perspective. At the time we had maybe two followers. The fun part is it’s all true. It is great getting to know you.

  2. Wow, this is so special to know you have been named after Queen Elizabeth. What name do you like to go by? It is special knowing your Dad put his heart in naming you after a person that must have moved him. As for me, I was named after my God-Mother and Audrey Hepburn is one of my all time favorites. In fact every TCM movie that comes on with her I must see. I have included 4 links to little post of me, Tom and Emma that you may get a sweet chuckle out of. I am happy that you have asked. I’ll send each link separate because WP interprets more then 2 links as spam. Please let us know if you get them.

  3. I have a random question (keep in mind I’ve been on steroids for days!!), how did your parents decide in the name Audrey? I love that name so much as I adore Audrey Hepburn so I keep meaning to ask! I am (truth), named after Queen Elizabeth. My Dad was a History major 🙂Also how did you and Tom meet?

  4. The art of film production has always held a mysterious fascination. I can’t say my achievements as an author can yet be defined as great. Perhaps, with the next book, which is coming soon. Nonetheless, thank you for the gracious compliment.

  5. Thanks. We launched some exciting stuff, moved, travelled and had a big church camp. Now I’m catching up on the rest of life.

  6. We are glad to see you back Brad. We missed you and wondered what had happened. We hope you two and the family is okay!!!! It is great that you have seen the NC area and can relate to our excitement of discovering the extremes of the area. There was the mountains and rural and then the bigger areas. The folks throughout thought were the amazing part. Glad you are back in the loop. We like your take on things. You always give fuel to fire a thought.

  7. I’ve been out of the loop for several weeks as some big things have been happening but I’m glad you’re sharing this part of your journeys. We were in North Carolina for the first time a few years ago. It was a wonderful experience and we want to go back some day.

  8. Sure enough you were right. Checked the “spam” folder and two of yours was there. It was so soothing to fall asleep with the stream behind us. We can relate to the washing the vehicle and then comes the rains to mess it up again. Our first thought is, there goes 10 bucks.

  9. I like this video a lot. That little stream looks lovely.
For me, sometimes it looks like washing my car later BRINGS the rain. Happened the last 2 times: I have the car washed, and a few hours later I’m driving in a downpour. I need to try that again as we desperately need rain hereabouts.
    Have a great weekend,

  11. What a charming video! I don’t know whether it’s because of the name “Daisy” or the sweet music, but I found it rather sentimental. Happy travels you two. 🙂
