Welcome back everyone to part 5 of our journey through North Carolina.
As we traveled the Blue Ridge Parkway one of our stops included Otter Lake which was so serene with its little waterfall beckoning us to stay.
Well this is it for today but we hope you return and see how the trip unfolds as we share more of the USA Through Our Eyes. Until then be safe and keep looking up.
Amen to this Claremary.

Oh, we will definitely win this and end up with leaders we will truly appreciate because they’ll put the needs of the people first ahead of all opportunities to make $$$$$$$$$.

This is good for us to hear Claremary. And we know for sure Friday will throw something at us like the other 6 days, lol. The great part though is your awesome positive attitude lets you shine!

Silent, shimmering waters and lovely plants and trees at Otter Lake – what a beautiful post for me to start my day. I am calm and ready for what Friday might bring. Thanks

Thank you so much! The most important things in life sometimes are the small but free things such as an inviting smile and a warm hello!

Thank you. Yes our outings let us see so much of His hand in the lives of people and in our own. A smile is free as is a warm hello but we offer it freely. Glad having you with us to share our experiences.

I’ll bet your travels do make you “imagine.” (A great song!) It’s good that you enjoy your excursions so much…

We sometimes get lost thinking what it will be like. Reminds us of the song by Mercy Me, “I can only Imagine”.

Thank you Madelyn. Yes isn’t the sounds of the water so relaxing. All we needed was a hammock and we’d have been there awhile, lol.

Another soothing water-sounds video. I could spend the day in total silence in this lovely spot – and that’s saying A LOT for me – lol. I’m loving this journey.

For cameras we use the Canon 5D Mark III, Canon 70D, I-Phone, Galaxy S5 and assorted fixed and telephoto lenses and for recording the H4n and Sony digital devices. We’re a work in progress and so appreciate when we get feedback from folks like you. We can only grow when others encourage and you greatly encourage us, thank you.

Amazing! and calm. And lovely. I especially liked the way the leaf on the tree fluttered slightly in one of the video moments. 🙂

Thanks for that. You must use a great camera to capture those sounds so well. I recently tried filming the wind in the trees. Didn’t sound so great. What do you you use?

Perhaps a quixotic idea, but I still think you should compile all your footage into a documentary-submit it to Cannes or some other independent art festival?

We look forward to each one. There is so much to see out there. The greatest part is there are things right in our own backyard of Rochester that are still untapped. We are sure this is true for your area as we see your awesome photos.

Isn’t it always the case Margaret. The enemy is always prowling about seeking whom to devour. We sure do know it too but also know that He that is in us is greater then he that is in the world. Each day of our journey was exciting Margaret as you will see in the post to come. We encountered so many wonderful folks and sites that were pure blessings to us. You are always such a blessing to us and we know your prayers are preceding us. Please know ours are upon you and your family also.

I knew it was going to be a great trip as soon as you said in your blog about things like the water issue. Well not at first, I always think (fleshy) uh oh, NO, not first stop, start of their next journey, got a little more concerned(fleshier :), that old evil one is going to try and steal their joy but then God took that sheeps hook, and nudged me back (honestly, picture in my mind, was more Him hooking me above the shoulders, little tug 🙂 and putting me back on track, oh ye, of little faith me;) 🙂 and my next thought was, oh my, there are so many blessings waiting for them, this is going to be a great trip 🙂 I think Job 🙂 They will be like Job. Another little tug from that Shepherds hook, 🙂 I remembered it was you 2 and this is going to be such a blessing filled journey that God has given you :):):) And you will be like Job, I have all confidence, you are the example, and examples, of God’s children :):) I’m excited 🙂 You, sharing your trip is a blessing 🙂
