Can you guess what this sound is? For some reason, I find it soothing ~ I guess because of all the back roads my family drove while on our travels when I was a kid. Enjoy ~ Audrey
p.s. …in case you don’t recognize it, it’s the sound of Gladys, our 2002 Toyota Camry with 251K miles on it, driving through gravel on a back road in IL.

Wow, Deborah this is so nice to know that you connected with this. We thought we would be the only ones. We too remember such times. When we were processing the video and our eyes were closed we found the sound comforting. So happy to have you along for the ride.

Traveling over gravel roads was a favorite past time for my father when I was a child. So the sound was very familiar! Growing up in Colorado in the 60’s and 70’s, there were still plenty of opportunities for such a pleasure. He would race along, the windows down in our station wagon, dust puffing behind us. You would arrive home with stiff hair and grit on your teeth, but it was worth it! Thanks for sharing!
