What a place! Here we are in the small town of Charles City Iowa in the midst of a natural emergency and while the towns folks were preparing sand bags we were fortunate enough to be directed to the Pizza Ranch where they were very busy making sure all would be able to get food. This place is incredible and the food was excellent! When we arrived there was Kristen to greet us with a smile and sense of humor par none. Then Sakatah began chatting with us and before long there was a large group of us talking about the storm that was whirling all around Charles City. Each of the individuals had been touched by the storm either a lot or a little but the one thing that astounded us was none of them were bitter or angry. They maintained a sense of humor about it all that taught me a thing or two about facing challenges.
